My name is Gaby. I’m 30 years old, and I have a little boy Carter who is the light of my life and my inspiration for this blog. Honestly, I thought my life would be drastically different than it is now. I thought I would have at least some stuff figured out by now. Looking back, I can see how I strayed so far and how many red flags I ran past to try and get to where I thought I should be.
I am both eternally grateful for my life and still trying to figure out exactly what I’m doing and how I’m supposed to be doing it, but I have found some pretty good things along the way that help me find balance through the ups and downs.
“When we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work and we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey.”
-Wendell Berry
Naturally, I am an introvert and a pretty private person. I love time to myself, but I also am very passionate about health, wellness, and living (and parenting!) simply. This blog is totally out of my comfort zone, but I also hope it can be a sort of healing for to not only share parts of my stories that have been difficult, but to also share them and possibly help others to find their voice, create change, and find balance in their lives.
I have a lot of resources in the health and wellness field: graduated from College of Charleston with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, created personal stretching programs, an integrative nutrition certification from IIN, 200 hour RYT, led my own yoga and meditation classes, and always enjoy trying all things holistic and wellness related.
My goal is to help people realize that it doesn’t take much to change your life. Small steps, with what you already have, will lead to long lasting and significant changes. You have the power to decide at any moment that you want to change and you can create the best version of yourself and your life!
