Banana bread is definitely one of my top 3 favorite desserts (brownies and tiramisu are the other 2). I have tried so many banana bread recipes, but I always come back to this one because it’s just so easy and is so good. I originally found this recipe in a magazine years ago, and I’ve modified it slightly to make it my go-to banana recipe that never fails.

I love to bake all kinds of things, but I really love simple recipes that you can whip together quickly and easily. This is a one bowl recipe, so there is minimal mess, and it takes maybe 10 minutes to make the batter and get it in the oven.

Whether it’s cold outside, and you have a warm slice right out of the oven, or in the summer with a cold glass of milk, this banana bread is always a special and comforting treat. I hope you try it and love it as much as I do!
BANANA BREAD RECIPE:
3 to 4 ripe bananas
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking soda
Chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 F. Mash the bananas in a large bowl. Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well. Grease a loaf pan and pour the mixture in. Bake for about 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
